Bellingen is fortunately located close by to truly beautiful State Forests, National Parks and some glorious coastal beaches.
Not everyone staying at the Retreat owns a 4 wheel drive that allows them to explore the many adjacent trails, or the joy of driving along one of local beaches at low tide and swimming or fishing on a beach on which you are the only visitor.
Kumbaingiri Retreat now provides access to an astonishing hand built 4WD that allows you to not only do this but do so in a one of kind 4WD. The Land Rover (pictured above) seats two in A/C comfort and is powered by a 400 horsepower V8.
It is a true go anywhere vehicle and is available for hire only to guests of the Retreat. Customised from end to end, it is incredibly capable both on and off-road and is strong and safe.
The minimum hire period is 2 days and costs $750 per day plus GST. The cost includes a full tank of fuel, our suggested guides to the best places to visit locally and a picnic hamper for 2 people.
As you might expect, there are a few rules. You need to be aged over 35, hold a current Australian license and have experience driving off road. The vehicle is insured and we require a $2000 credit card deposit which will be forfeit if the vehicle is damaged, stranded, requires towing etc, in short not returned in the same condition as provided to you.
